The 2011 California International Choral Festival and Competition

June 24-26, 2011

Welcome to the 2011 California International Choral Festival & Competition. Join us for a unique event which highlights the art of Choral Music. Our Festival offers a musical experience of the highest caliber, an opportunity to show-case your choir, a chance to visit one of California’s most beautiful regions, and a friendly staff and community dedicated to seeing that your stay is an excellent one. We combine the fun of a festival with the hard work of a competition

You’ll sing for world-class judges and appreciative audiences in a state-of-the-arts Performing Arts Center, and build friendships with other choirs from around the world at our barbeque and celebration parties.

San Luis Obispo will give you a warm welcome. It’s a town of style and charm — a vibrant city with a relaxed atmosphere. Nearby are the pristine beaches of the Pacific Ocean and endless acres of picturesque vineyards which support a thriving wine industry. The area contains some of the most outstanding agricultural regions in the world and enjoys a mild, Mediterranean climate year round.

Each year we refine the Festival to accommodate suggestions to keep it running smoothly and to expand the opportunities for singers. For example, the 2011 Festival has added a new competition for single gender men’s and women’s choirs.
